Laurens County 4H Horse Club

                     "Learn by doing" 

      Shonda Franks of Franks Farms is the volunteer Leader for the new Laurens County 4H horse program. There are volunteer positions available for adults who would to be involved. Contact us to learn more. 


  There is a $15 fee for single child or $20 per family to enroll however your child must participate in fundraisers for the club. 



         This is a fun learning opportunity for youth. They will learn about equine health, safety, equine science, the diverse riding disciplines,and more.


 A positive fun learning environment for young horse people to come together. We plan to have practice shows, field trips, and many fun learning experiences.

                     Parents connect with us on Facebook to see photos from meetings

and find homework. The Facebook group is a virtual classroom and posting board for meetings and events.


If your child owns a horse they are welcome to bring them to meeting or events . We do ask that all horses brought are not sick and no stallions are allowed as a safety precaution.    Guidelines for signing up for 4H 
9 years  to 18 years old
Franks Farms will allow your child to use a horse to learn horse handling and halter showing but cannot guarantee them a horse to show with.

We have 2 shows at our farm a year plus monthly meetings.


We also get together for trail rides.
